You may be familiar with Robert Benchley’s Law of Distinction, which states that “There are two kinds of people in the world, those who believe there are two kinds of people in the world and those who don’t.” If you’re a nerd, you might phrase this a little differently, as in “There are 10 kinds of people in the world: Those who understand binary and those who don’t.” If you doubt the veracity of this basic claim, debate my cranky grampaw on the topic.
