You may recall that during the December 15 GOP debate, Chris Christie engaged in a lot of tough guy talk about Putin, and referred to Obama as a feckless weakling. Who the hell uses the the phrase “feckless weakling” in the twenty-first century? Well, apparently the kind of person who also calls the sitting president a petulant child. Let’s be real. This affected language – usually utilized only by liberal elitists – is the kind of language that a person only uses if they’re also the sort of person who reads a thesaurus every night before they go to bed. And that’s the vibe that comes through when Christie speaks this way. You can almost picture him fuming with contempt as he thumbs through pages, looking for the perfect adjective to insult his nemesis, Barack Obama. It’s equally strange that he reserves this language ONLY for Obama, given the amount of Man Love he previously has demonstrated for the man. I mean, his frustrated bromance with the president is one of the main reasons a lot of conservative voters don’t like the guy.

But you know what’s even STRANGER than all this?

The fact that this hasn’t become a meme yet. So let us just FTFY. Below are our initial contributions, and we’ve even provided you some starter words. One thing missing in Christie’s clearly thesaurus-driven insults is the use of alliteration, so we focused on that in a few. But don’t let that get in your way, have at it! “Withering Hayseed” or “Impotent Tomfool” is every bit as thesaurusical [sic] as “Fustian Fumblebum”!
